Tom Haxby has enjoyed photography since a
high school art class. He is most passionate about landscape
photography. “There are so many natural places of beauty,”
he says. “I consider the opportunity to ‘capture’
spectacular landscapes and other natural subjects exciting.
His current full-time profession as a forester in Northern
Michigan parallels his interest in the natural environment.
To him, photography is a creative extension of his appreciation
of our forests and other special places in Northern Michigan.
Tom has had the opportunity to take workshops from the Rocky
Mountain School of Photography, Arizona Highways, the Epson
Print Academy and is a member of the Traverse Area Camera
Club.
